Conference Information

In conjunction with Prescription for Renewal, we invite you to arrive a day early at The Cove to participate in the Missionary Medicine Seminar. This Continuing Medical Education (CME) course provides participants with essential knowledge for practicing medicine on the mission field.

Objectives

1. To prepare physicians for both short-term and long-term service at mission hospitals around the world.

2. To provide up-to-date information from experienced medical missionary physicians on the management of disease processes and injuries common to the mission field.

3. To stimulate physician interest and participation in medical missionary service.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. The Orlando Regional Healthcare System is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Orlando Regional Healthcare System designates this educational activity for a maximum of 10.0 hours in Category 1 Credit toward the AMA Physicians' Recognition Award or 10.0 Continuing Education Units for nurses. Each physician or nurse should claim only those hours of credit that he or she actually spends in the educational activity.

Spouses' Program

A special program will be offered for the spouses of physicians participating in the Missionary Medicine Seminar. This program is free of charge. Participants will join their spouses for meals, worship, and announcements.
